I was recently honored to be a guest on the The Pet Loss Companion podcast, talking about my personal grief journey with BooBoo, why I think it’s important to share it, my companion animal Advance Care Directive and why I am passionate about planning and having conversations about pet loss and why I encourage people to plan for at-home euthanasia, and more! While this was my first time as a guest on the podcast, right after BooBoo’s passing, they graciously shared my submitted story of BooBoo and our life together. Listen/watch that episode here, or on your favorite podcast player. It was episode #166.
My free Advance Care Directive worksheet is available to help encourage and prompt you to have conversations and think through some things, before your dog is sick or old. Thinking ahead and having conversations with your family before you’re in a heated emotional moment can really make a big difference and reduce stress or resentment or guilt later on.
Here are some of the things we chatted about!
- first post about Boo passing
- 2 month update
- 4 month update

I’m here for any of your training needs. If you are preparing for the loss of your own dog, remember I offer my doula services here or you can book my special consult if you’re considering behavioral euthanasia.
Thanks for being here!
