When we talk about dog behavior change, it feels simple on the surface: stop the unwanted action and everything is fixed, right? What if I told you that stopping the behavior you see is not the same thing as actually changing what’s driving the behavior? That distinction is at the heart of this module. In order to achieve real behavior modification, we need to get to the root of the problem, and avoid making things worse with things like aversive training methods, punishment, scolding or other things that will derail your training.
