The Hard Dog Support Circle Waitlist Is Open
I’ve been working on this since February, and I’m glad to finally announce it! The Hard Dog Support Circle is a monthly membership for people living with fearful, anxious, reactive, and aggressive dogs, and the waitlist is open now. Enrollment will open in November.
Why I built it
Most of my clients find me after they’ve already tried a lot. They’ve been through several trainers, watched the videos, read forum threads at 2am, and been told to stay calm, be consistent and be the leader of the pack. Some were even handed a prong or shock collar along the way by unqualified people. When none of it works, they usually walk way feeling like it’s their fault, that they’ve failed their dog and and it isn’t their fault. I see it over and over again – what’s missing is the right information from a qualified source and a community of support from people who understand what it’s like to love a hard dog.
Dogs with fear, reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, and separation anxiety are my entire behavior practice, and I’ve helped over 3000 families work through problems they thought were impossible. I can only fit so many private clients on my calendar, though, and a membership lets me support a lot more people, in a place where the focus stays on your dog and not on an algorithm.
What’s inside
You’ll get immediate access to a growing library of short, self-paced courses on fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, and separation anxiety, along with enrichment courses and a Caregiver Burnout course for the days when you’re just plain tired. There are also resource guarding plans, handouts, and a behavior log with trackers and templates, so you can see your progress in a spreadsheet instead of relying on how the week felt.
I’m here to support you too. Every member starts with a 30 minute onboarding Zoom meet and greet so I can learn about you and your dog, and from there you’ll have the Forums to ask questions and be honest about your struggles with people struggling with the same issues, all without judgment. There’s also regular live Q&A sessions you can attend or watch later, and a quarterly one on one check-in with me to review your progress and troubleshoot. You’ll be working with me directly, not a team of assistants or AI bot.
Our first live topic after the initial orientation will be Preparing for Holiday Gatherings, since guests, doorbells, chaos and broken routines can make the holidays especially hard on dogs like yours.
Who it’s for
This membership is for guardians, fosters, and rescue and shelter folks who know quick fixes aren’t the answer and who are committed to a humane, positive reinforcement approach. It isn’t for anyone looking for a single command to solve everything, or anyone planning to use aversive tools or punishment. And it’s not really for other dog pros – it’s for people who may want a cost-effective alternative to private sessions with me.
Join the waitlist
Enrollment will only be open for a short window in November, and everyone on the waitlist will hear about it first. If you’ve been waiting for support that actually understands your dog, you can join the waitlist here. I’d love to have you with me. If you’re looking for private, one-on-one support, you can schedule your session here!
If you would like to support my efforts and make a contribution to allow me to continue to create free resources like my blog and all of my other free resources, you can Buy Me A Coffee!
Thanks for being here!
