My husband and I had fostered a dog to adopt. We fell in love with him and had high intentions to keep him. We were told he was a shy dog and we have a quiet home for the most part, therefore a good fit. After 6 weeks, it became clear that he had several behavioral issues that we had been unaware of when we happily took him home. We had no experience with this type of thing and were referred to Kate. She explained the process in detail and helped us navigate through our angst and heartbreak over the realization that not only did our family and lifestyle not work with this dog, but that he would be better off with another family. Kate is a professional like no other in her field. She is not only a fountain of knowledge and detailed in her approach, but extremely caring of animals and their owners.
