Module 3: Fostering 101 – Dog Proofing Your Home
Foster dogs often come from a shelter environment, and even if they have previously lived in a home, in the process of moving them to a new home, we cannot predict how they will behave.
It’s important before bringing home a foster dog, to dog-proof your home, even if you have resident dogs already.
Remove anything that would be unsafe or undesirable for the dog to chew on. Charging cables, candles, bar soap, medication, food, cleaning supplies can all attract a curious dog.
